Conjunction

I have always been drawn to the challenge of marrying unrelated things. Conjunction began as an experiment—an attempt to create visual harmonies between images that, at first glance, had no reason to belong together. But once I started, I couldn’t stop.

While making printed “magazines” of my own photos for collage, I began noticing unexpected commonalities—connections between images taken years, sometimes more than a decade, apart. What started as a process of pairing became something more: a collection of 300 (and counting) diptychs that weave a new, unintended narrative from my endless archive of images.
